In the metrical compositions How to Eat a Poem by Eve Merriam and penetration to rhyme by Billy Collins, important ideas are presented intimately how meter should be experienced and enjoyed. The poets used the techniques extended simile, repetition, parables and personification to show me how these ideas is important.In How to Eat a Poem by Eve Merriam, the author describes how meter is to be experienced. Poetry doesnt need any manners and has no rules. Dont be polite / Bite in. is an example of reasonable jumping in to poetry because its got no manners and its for everyone. It is ready and ripe now, whenever you are. Shows us that poetry is for everyone. Poetry never goes away because it always written on paper. Its non hard you foundert gain to be clever to enjoy poetry because its always there to be read. That poetry doesnt need to be tied to a chair and tortured, so it gives a confession that it doesnt have to be an expert that necessitate to analyze it, anyone can do it. Poetry is intended to be enjoyed, anyone can do it, it doesnt need to be over analyzed.Both of these poems have helped me understand more about poetry and what its about. That poetry is about having fun and to be experienced by everyone. Anyone and everyone can enjoy poems, they dont have to be the cleverest or the smartest to understand poetry. I envisage these two poems represent what poems are about.
